Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born into an ethnically diverse family. The mother of her child is English and her father is Nigerian. Her family was raised on an estate in south London community estate, as a teenager, she fourteen, she attended The Brit School. In London she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was awarded. In her time at the school, she performed in numerous stage plays, including King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe's acting career began with Storm Damage. Since then she's made appearances as a guest for Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe landed her first motion picture role in the Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Following that success, she played Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN which aired in 2007 and she also appeared in six episodes of Trexx and Flipside as Ollie. In 2008, she got Bambi's role on ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was in both series 2 and 3. Madekwe starred as the lead character for How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedic comedy released in 2008. Her credits in the theatre are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe debuted in the US in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama program ran at The CW for only two episodes, before it was removed from the air. Ashley Davenport, a character in ABC's Revenge drama, was chosen as Ashley Davenport. Madekwe was a regular in the drama series of Revenge on ABC for two seasons. The show was announced in May 2013 that she was set to leave the series after making one guest appearance on the initial season of the third. Between 2014 and 2016, she starred in Salem in the role of Tituba. Madekwe wed her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg in June 2012. They collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He was also a part of the cast with Madekwe in Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress who was twice nominated for a Gemini Award, is a member of a large Hamilton family. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty along with four of their older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's family, which is all athletic, played baseball during the summer and played hockey in winters. Ashley did not have the ability to actually walk. She was a dancer. When she reached two and a half and a half, she was a part of Baby Ballet. Ashley discovered a love for dancing when she began Baby Ballet. Ashley was a professional dancer across all major divisions until she finished high school. She was a competitor in jazz, tap, ballet as well as pointe and acrobatics. Ashley was awarded the best soloist at each of the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
